Striker Bambang Pamungkas is a senior and is the best striker I've ever owned Indonesian national team . Although the 2010 AFF Cup last Bambang more reserved by coach Alfred Riedl , but his goal against Thailand two important effect on mental raise the Indonesian National Team . This player has a heading that is lethal if only plays the body 171 cm , Bambang Pamungkas known as footballer low profile and quiet when down the field , it's all because of the experience that Bambang have and make it a goal -hungry striker and defender feared by opponents .

Bambang Pamungkas (born in Salatiga, Central Java, on June 10, 1980) is a football player Indonesia. Currently he plays for Persija Jakarta in Indonesia Premier League and once represented the state in Indonesian football team. He usually plays as a striker.

Although not too high (171 cm), Bambang has a high leap and header accurate. One of the players he admires is his partner in the national team, Kurniawan Dwi Yulianto.

While still playing in the youth team of Central Java, he had been named as the best player Haornas Cup, a championship youth level. Bambang also been a top scorer for the squad Indonesia in the Asian Cup U-19 Group V, with 7 goals.

Bambang first appearance together senior national team is on July 2, 1999 in a friendly against Lithuania. Bambang, who was then only 18 years old, managed to create a goal in a match that ended in a draw 2-2.
Professional career

Bambang scored 24 goals in his first season in the Liga Indonesia although it represents Persija Jakarta team failed to round the final. When the season ended, Bambang joined by a third division team of the Netherlands, EHC Norad. However, family problems and failure to adjust to the cool weather Europe led to a few months after that, EHC Norad Bambang lend back to Persija before both parties terminate the contract by mutual consent.

A year later, Bambang became top scorer with 8 goals while helping Indonesia become the second champion Tiger Cup 2002.

Until last appearance for Indonesia at the 2006 World Cup qualifier against Sri Lanka in September 2004, Bambang has netted 18 goals in 35 appearances. But the problem of injury and decreased performance (the last time Bambang netted for Indonesia is on February 12, 2004) causes eliminated from Indonesia Tiger Cup squad, 2004. When his colleagues struggled in the Tiger Cup, Bambang signed a contract with FC Selangor. Until July 2005, he was the top scorer for his team with 22 goals.

2007 season he returned strengthen Liga Persija Jakarta in Indonesia.

On July 10, 2007, when Indonesia-Bahrain match, he scored a goal, make sure Indonesia won 2-1.
