Kate Winslet is married to director Jim Threapleton in November 1998. From their marriage , had a daughter Mia Honey (2000 ) . After a divorce in 2001 , the next Winslet is married to director Sam Mendes in May 2003 and have a son Joe Mendes (2003 ) . Winslet had previously been in a relationship with actor Rufus Sewall and actor Stephen Tredre , who later died in 1997 .
Kate is very well known for her role as Rose DeWitt Bukater in the film directed by James Cameron , TITANIC (1997 ) , who drove himself in a best- actress Academy Award nomination .
