Vin Diesel was raised by a mother who was a psychologist and adoptive father in an artist housing in New York's Greenwich Village, he never knew who his real father. At the age of seven years, Vincent and his friends follow and get into the theater. Then a woman offered them each a script for $ 20 and asked them to practice every day after school. From there, Vin's career began. At age 17 years Vin start forming body with exercise. Later, he became a doorman at several New York's hippest clubs to earn extra pocket money himself during this time that he changed his name to Vin Diesel.
After high school, Vin enrolled as an English major at Hunter College, but dropped out after three years and went to Hollywood to resume his acting career. Being an experienced theater actor did not make Vin get a good impression in Hollywood. After a year of struggling to make his name known, he returned to New York. Then His mother gave him a book called "Feature Films used in Car Prices" by Rick Schmidt. The book gives new knowledge to him that he could improve on his career. So he managed to make a short film based on his own experiences as an actor, called Multi-Facial (1995), which resolved within 3 days at a cost of $ 3,000. Multi-Facial (1995) was accepted at the Cannes Film Festival in 1995 and make it known and got a very hectic. Afterwards, Vin returned to Los Angeles to make his first feature, Strays (1997). Six months after the making, the film received at the Sundance Film Festival in 1997, but did not get a good reception. Vin disappointed and returned to New York.
Steven Spielberg was impressed by Multi-Facial (1995) and wanted to meet Vin, and ask Vin lead in Saving Private Ryan (1998). So it makes getting a lot of work. When the director of The Iron Giant (1999) saw the work of Vin Diesel, he decided to give vin juduk role in the film "Pitch Black". From there, Vin's career continues to grow. He played his first lead role as 'Richard B Riddick' in the sci-fi film Pitch Black (2000). The role that has made him gain loyal fans and the public recognition they deserve.
