Warren Edward Buffett is an American business magnate, investor and philanthropist. He is the most successful investor of the 20th century.
Warren Edward Buffett is an American entrepreneur who is recognized as one of the world's most successful investor . He managed to gather a wealth of abundant because of the capability and versatility in investing through conglomerate ( holding company) Berkshire Hathaway . Because these skills , he got various nicknames such as the " Wizard of Omaha " , the "Oracle of Omaha " , or the " Sage of Omaha " .

Buffet lecture at the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania for two years, ie from 1947 to 1949. In 1950, he was educated at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and successfully graduated in business administration. He then continued his education at Columbia University Grahamdi Benjamin after he knew that Benjamin Graham and David Dodd, who is a leading financial analyst was then teaching there. Buffett graduated from Columbia University in 1951 with the title Master of Science in economics. Subsequently he served as Chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. in Omaha from 1970 to the present.
In 2006 Buffett contributed nearly 85 % of his wealth to several charities , one of which is the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which is owned by Bill Gates . In the subsequent years , he was also often involved in various charities . In 2011 , Buffett received the Presidential Medal of Freedom , the highest award for civilians in the United States , which is presented by President Barrack Obama on the action philanthropic accomplishments throughout the year.

Because of his success in investing , Warren Buffett placed first in the list of The World's Richest People in 2008 with a net worth of US $ 62 billion . ( In the Forbes Magazine ) . At that time he was able to shift the position of Bill Gates , founder of Microsoft , which for 13 consecutive years has always been at the top. In 2012 , Buffett was also back in the list , only this time he is ranked third with a fortune of US $ 44 billion .
